The Indigofera plant is fascinating with it’s alchemy, and is revered and coveted by cultures all around the globe for it’s intensely deep, rich colours and protective, even spiritual qualities. As well as the ancient henna plant, which has been used for thousands of years as an adornment to the skin, hair, and nails from civilisations past.

In our workshop, we are going to be working with some of the most unique and oldest plant dye pigments in the world - Indigo and henna. You will make your own indigo dyed scarf using beautiful tying and binding techniques, and then be adorned with a personalised henna decoration on your hands after.

Get earthy and experience the alchemy of Mother Nature as you’re guided into a journey of creativity and design, as well as a historical & cultural exploration and sustainability of these crafts in modern times.

Your hands will be beautifully & non-permanently stained with the rich hues of indigo blue and warm henna. You will leave with a knowledge and understanding of these plant pigments, as well as your own decorated scarf piece.
