Fabric Care

A botanically dyed garment has special care and washing needs to make it last over time. Due to the sensitivity of natural dyes, any detergents with washing soda or chemicals, and even deodorants or perfumes containing chemical ingredients, can alter the colour of your garment.

For best results, it is recommended to do minimal washing. When cleaning is needed, gently spot clean with cool water and a pH neutral soap. If the entire garment needs to be washed, hand wash in cool water with pH neutral soap, followed by a gentle wring out, and then hang in the shade to dry or lay flat to dry. Do not leave your garment in the sun, as this can cause the textile to fade. Your garment can be gently steamed or ironed on a low setting.
